Polestar 4

Polestar has just unveiled the highly anticipated Polestar 4, marking a significant leap in the premium electric vehicle (EV) market. This sleek and sporty SUV coupe, a creation of the Volvo Car Group-owned premium EV brand, sets itself apart with a groundbreaking design that redefines the conventional SUV coupe.

Breaking away from its predecessor, the Polestar 3, which was manufactured in the U.S., the Polestar 4 will be proudly crafted in China, showcasing the country’s burgeoning influence in the EV sector. This strategic decision underscores the brand’s confidence in Chinese manufacturing quality.

The Polestar 4 promises an unparalleled blend of performance, luxury, and sustainability, making it a compelling addition to the growing electric vehicle landscape. Boasting a distinctive design and cutting-edge technology, this SUV coupe is poised to captivate EV enthusiasts and make a lasting impact on the automotive industry.

Built on the Sustainable Experience Architecture (SEA) platform by Geely Holding, one of the world’s largest automotive groups, the Polestar 4 is designed for large-bodied vehicles with a long wheelbase. With dimensions that include an overall length of 190 inches, a width of 84 inches, and a height of 60.7 inches, the Polestar 4 introduces innovative design choices, setting it apart from its predecessors and competitors.

Powering the Polestar 4 is a robust 94-kWh battery pack, delivering an impressive estimated range of up to 350 miles on a single charge. This not only surpasses some competitors but also ensures a stress-free and comfortable driving experience for daily commutes. The vehicle’s compatibility with DC fast charging allows the 94-kWh battery pack to recharge at up to 200 kW, minimizing downtime.

With its powerful electric powertrain, the Polestar 4 claims the title of the fastest car in Polestar’s history. Accelerating from 0 to 60 mph in just 3.8 seconds, it offers an exhilarating driving experience. The vehicle comes in two specification options – single or dual-motor setups, providing customization for drivers based on their preferences.

Safety is a top priority for the Polestar 4, inheriting the Volvo DNA. Standard features include automated emergency braking with pedestrian detection, lane-departure warning with lane-keeping assistance, adaptive cruise control with hands-free driving mode, and a comprehensive system of 12 cameras and radar for a 360-degree view.

Inside, the Polestar 4 boasts a luxurious interior with a spacious cargo hold, offering up to 14.3 cubic feet of space. The ergonomic design of the seats, finished in bold white, exudes a futuristic ambiance. Premium leather upholstery and elegant wood trim further contribute to the overall opulence.

The vehicle’s infotainment system is equally impressive, featuring a prominent 14.7-inch display at the center of the dashboard. Offering smartphone connectivity for Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, as well as a powerful 12-speaker setup produced by Kardon Stereo (upgradeable to 16 speakers), the Polestar 4 provides a premium experience for occupants.

Notably, the Polestar 4 introduces a unique exterior design, eschewing a traditional rear window in favor of a display that replaces the rearview mirror. This innovative approach not only enhances the vehicle’s visual appeal but also contributes to improved aerodynamics and fuel efficiency.
